It is made up of a flat gong, horizontally placed over a cylinder which sides are concaves and/or convexes. The gong’s surface is usually adorned with geometric patterns. Four frogs, made by the lost wax method, are placed on the edge of the gong and determine the four cardinal directions. It must be hit with a mallet which head is padded. It is mainly used on the north of the country and it is played during funerals.
