It was primitively used by shepherds and was considered as comprehensive element of traditional culture in central areas of the country. There are several kinds of flutes which are different in the number of fingering holes. The different notes in this kind of flute are got by pressure changes on the emitted air, just the same as in flutes that have three fingering holes. The instrument is etched with acid in order to create the traditional decorating on vegetal motives.
